This is open to anyone who finds the Institute's activities and facilities of interest. The membership fees, listed below, are modest and membership confers on those who join the right to use the lending facilities of the library, use of the Members' Room which is supplied with a range of magazines and daily newspapers, and discounted entry fees to any Institute events for which a charge is made. There are also in-house activities by and for members.

It further entitles you to a vote at the AGM and thus to have a voice in the governance of the Institute. Any suggestions made by members as to how BMI services can be improved are always seriously considered.

To join simply print out the Application Form, complete and send with a cheque (made payable to "BMI") for the appropriate amount to the address on the form.

Rates as from January 2012.
* Where a member is resident 15 miles or more from Birmingham and not commuting daily to the city on business.

BMI Membership Room

The Mullins Room on the main floor has been refurbished for the benefit of members.

You are encouraged to use the room, where you will find comfortable chairs and a selection of local and national newspapers.

Refreshments ordered from the Coffee Lounge can be served in the room.

Members are reminded that only food and drink purchased from the Coffee Lounge may be consumed in the Members Lounge.
