Study Day – Euripides

February 28 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

Euripides, The Trojan Women (415 bc),

Iphigenia Amongst the Taurians (c. 412 bc)

and Iphigenia in Aulis (405 bc)

After identifying on previous study days Euripides’ sympathetic engagement with the predicament of women in his Electra and Medea, we shall explore what three more of his plays might have to say to us today. We shall include reference to the films by Michael Cacoyannis that were released in 1971 and 1977.

To attend this event, please book directly with organisers Dr Pamela Mason & Keith Parsons at studydays@deliveringshakespeare.com
