This talk will look at the origins of the Birmingham and Black Country Landscape from the birth of the planet to the present day ….and beyond. It will trace the history of enormous changes in the environment of millions of years of Earth history, show maps of the way the world looked at various points in our distant past and will encounter some strange and wonderful life-forms trapped whose remains lie as the fossils trapped in the layers of rock beneath our feet’
